OK info so far but e-edition is horrible!!

I am the parent of a dyscalculic teenager. I purchased this book hoping for some strategies. I'm over half way through it and am just now getting to the "action plans." The first half was for people who don't know what dyscalculia is, which is fine, but I think people picking this book up already know and are looking for help. I can come back and edit this once I finish the book and can give a better overall picture.
Now about the edition. Oh my goodness!! Was there even an editor for it? There are so many typos, weird ones, and they come about once per page. Also there are a lot of text boxes for highlighted info but they are impossible to read on a Kindle. The type in the boxes is tiny, white type on black background, and cannot be resized. Granted if I read this on my iPad or iPhone I could resize the box to read it, but I read almost exclusively on my Kindle Paperwhite and the boxes are next to impossible to read. I can kind of decipher them if I turn the brightness all the way up. I find myself getting out my iPad to read the boxes. That's convenient, especially when you're laying in bed.
I don't mind the typos and such when it's the free classic books…ones that have been typed up by volunteers and such, but this is a $35 ebook that looks like it was slapped together and thrown online, with no consideration of they type of devices on which it would be read. Maybe that's why I haven't finished it yet…I dread reading it because of the terrible typos and the illegible text boxes. As of now, it has not been worth the money. I'll see if there was enough info to make it worth the price when I finish it.

Great Read for Parents and Teachers

A good book on Dyscalculia is hard to find. I highly recommend this book to parents and teachers for any child struggling with mathematics. The advice and explanations are very helpful. Also, the realization that decreasing the amount of work for a dyscalculia is not in their favor to achieve mastery of skills. I don't agree with everything as I feel that no student in elementary school should have access to a calculator. Overall this book is a must read especially parents of a child struggling with math.

Great resource that is broken down into learning areas. I just wish there were workshops in the Pittsburgh area regarding this specific learning disability.
