Interesting, but overpriced

I have had a chance to look at this book, which reads as if it were written for academia. By the time I got to the middle of the book I found that the author draws on a limited number of source materials over and over again, looking at the same information and stories from different perspectives. In terms of Sufi Sama, he references a very few schools of Sufism and gives a resultant limited review of the practice of Sama. (Although I realize he is talking about EARLY Sufi Sama.) For readers who were hoping to delve into the interface between neuropsychology, Sufism, trance states and Sama- this is most likely not the book you are looking for.
